I have certainly put myself out there as having the most hawkish view on Russia (compared to the street consensus), but I still find it difficult to see anything but escalation by Russia with Ukraine from the current postures.
Good analysis, I'm almost sure that Putin has been preparing for this move ever since 2010. Many leaders in the West have passed by while Putin remained focused. Have a look at the sovereign economic indicators, and compare them with West led by US!
